Travis Hamrick has been in the mitigation banking industry space since 2002.

He graduated in 1997 from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, he then went on to earn his Masters in 2002 in Geographical Information Sciences at the University of Redlands in Southern California.

Travis has a strong background as an outdoorsman which is evident in his career path. His former experience includes working as a GIS Technician and Wildland firefighter at the Dixie National Forest in Cedar City, UT. After that, he served as GIS Manager for the Aquatics and Riparian Effectiveness Monitoring Program (AREMP) for the Northwest Forest Plan based in Corvallis, Oregon where he performed data collection and analysis to determine watershed health on federal lands in Washington, Oregon and California.

Travis gravitated to environmental restoration due to the appeal of identifying and improving areas of the environment that might otherwise go undetected. Travis has in-depth restoration experience in the southeast US and Texas, particularly the Katy Prairie Stream Mitigation Bank, the Hebert Wetland Mitigation Bank and the Spring Creek Ranch Stream and Wetland mitigation project.

In the industry, Travis is particularly known for his expertise in site identification, market analysis, site development (including managing site contractors), and managing the implementation of the project throughout its lifecycle.
